Inspiration

The ever changing skies, farmland, marshes, forests, ocean and bay waterfront have entered my art in the last several years. 

My vision pits the drama of wide, clear skies filled with unique rumbling cloud formations moving fast above more static, slower evolving land and waterscapes below. Fresh cut fields framed by weeds and trees, spits of treed land jutting into grassy marshes at the edges of the Chesapeake Bay, standing driftwood, gnarled trees and majestic pine are all reminders of giant forests cut for farms and encroaching civilization.
